"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality."
By Desmond Tutu
Racism
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
By Martin Luther King Jr.
Suicide
"Suicide is a serious thing. And if you know anyone who is suicidal, you need to get them help. No one should be in pain. Everyone should love themselves."
By Gerard Way
Stigma around depression and mental illness
For many years now, people with mental illnesses have been stigmatized. Stigma often involves inaccurate stereotypes. Many falsely believe that people with mental illness cannot function in daily life. In many families, depression and other mental illnesses are looked upon as something shameful. All these claims are wrong and must be dealt with.

About me
CollinsOmbikhwa.com is an Oklahoma City-based website that provides important information on bullying, racism, suicide and stigma associated with mental health. I recently published a book that is currently on Amazon. "Just The Other Day" is a memoir based on challenges and obstacles I faced while growing up in Busia, Kenya and after moving to America in 2016. I reveal how I overcame each and every problem that I underwent. I emphasizes on the importance of never giving up. I say problems are what make us stronger, and we should learn to solve them as they come. I also stress on the importance of mental health and suicide prevention. The fact that I was born and raised in Kenya before moving to America, where mental health and suicide are taboo topics, I maintain that no one should be stigmatized for seeking counseling. Because mental health is important for every aspect of a person’s well-being. I also ask the question, "Why hate each other?" I cite examples of tribalism in Kenya and racism in America, and I finally conclude that each and every one of us is equal despite differences. We should learn to see each other as one in spite of different colors, languages, cultures, beliefs, and norms. No race nor tribe is superior to others.
